SCCC Batting Development Sessions with Coach Brendan Joyce.

14 MAY 2017 | BY GERARD CULL

Good morning lads.

For the information of our younger players, The President has authorised me to organise 9 additional Batting Development sessions for our youngest players which will be facilitated by well known cricket coach Brendan Joyce. Brendan was a top District player of high quality who scored over 8000 runs at 1st Grade level and was a Ryder Medalist and Premiership player and captain at Fitzroy.
Brendan was a hard working player who built his game on sound principles and was by no means an overnight success. He did his cricketing apprenticeship under the legendary Victorian cricketing icon in John Scholes. Brendan was also a fierce competitor.

The following young players have been selected by SCCC to attend these sessions with the view to helping provide them with additional options and information on how to get the most out of their efforts to train themselves in the skills of batting.
These sessions will not be traditional training sessions but batting skills sessions only.
Hopefully players will be able to take even one or two points away from these sessions which may help them improve their batting.

Players concerned.

1. Jon Curtis
2. Kevin Harris
3. Josh Odonnell
4. Ollie Laker
5. Sam Mahon
6. Sam Emberton
7. Paul Pekaj
8. Ollie Bradley (new)
9. Jackson Cull (new)

Time: 9.20am to 10.30am

Any player who is unable to attend please let me know.
You will not be bowling at this session just hitting balls and being engaged in coaching.

Kind regards
Gerard Cull
